Novak Djokovic is currently the 2nd ranked player in the world. This 22 year old out of Serbia has had a great start to the year. Djokovic has achieved a 16-4 record so for on the season and has already managed to win a Singles Title at the ATP Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships.

Novak is a well rounded player. He is able to play in all parts of the court, using a strong forehand and backhand. His hard serve has been great for him so far this season. When his serve is going well he is able to stick with anybody on the court.

One of the remaining weaknesses of his game is his drop shot. He is able to use it occasionally to sneak a few points, but when he uses it too much he has problems. An improvement on that shot could take him to an even higher level.

Djokovic is still young and has the potential to do big things this year. He is still a ways behind Federer in the world rankings right now and will need a lot of strong tournaments in the upcoming months if he hopes to make the jump. At times the top player in the world falls out of contention as he ages.

Unforuntately for Djokovic his opponent is still going strong. If Djokovic hopes to move up to the top it will depend on his rise rather than the fall of Federer.

The French open will take place in just over a month. This tournament will provide Djokovic with a big opportunity to prove himself again in an important setting.
