She has a strong forehand that she can hit to all parts of the court. Her serve is okay, but has never been dominant. Many of the top players in the world have more dominant serves that allow them to take a few easy points each game. With Schiavone lacking this type of serve, it is sometimes difficult for her to take key points in a close match.
